"Sometimes the miracle isn't healing. The miracle is paving the way for acceptance." -Sister Holly Reynolds, Avalon Ward Ministering Secretary
We all want to act and to aid in healing when someone we love is hurt, but sometimes a listening ear is the best way you can minister.
*Please download the Gospel Living App to receive further communication from our ward.
Our RS Garden Party is this month! We look forward to sharing a delicious meal, socializing, and thinking celestial! Please see the flyer below for details. Hope to see you all there!
The Kuna Food Bank is running low on certain items. Our RS will focus on a specific item each month to collect and donate. You can bring items to church, drop them off at a RS presidency member's home or drop them off directly at the Food Bank. Thank you so much for your help!
This month we are collecting: BAKING MIXES (cake, cookies, brownies, etc.)
In 2025 our Relief Society presidency would like to focus each month on a specific theme. This theme will be used in our counseling topics on Sundays, to plan activities, etc. throughout the month.
The theme for June is "Think Celestial."
"As you think celestial, your faith will increase. When I was a young intern, my income was $15 a month. One night, my wife Dantzel asked if I was paying tithing on that meager stipend. I was not. I quickly repented and began paying the additional $1.50 in monthly tithing. Was the Church any different because we increased our tithing? Of course, not. However, becoming a full-tithe payer changed me. That is when I learned that paying tithing is all about faith. Paying tithing requires faith, and it also builds faith in God and His Beloved Son."
"Choosing to live a virtuous life in a sexualized, politicized world builds faith."
"Spending more time in the temple builds faith. And your service and worship in the temple will help you to think celestial. The temple is a place of revelation. There you are shown how to progress toward a celestial life. There you are drawn closer to the Savior and given greater access to His power. There you are guided in solving the problems in your life, even your most perplexing problems."
-President Russell M. Nelson, "Think Celestial," Oct. 2023
